Author of an incredible start to the season, Bradley Barcola (PSG) has scored 10 goals in the first 11 matchdays, a rather rare performance in Ligue 1 McDonald's.
Scorer of 10 goals in 11 league games while he had totaled 9 in his career before the start of the season, Bradley Barcola has definitely changed gear. Thanks to his third double of the season scored in Angers on Saturday, the Top Scorer of Ligue 1 McDonald's confirms his enormous start to the journey and joins a fairly closed club.
More passer than scorer since the start of his professional career with OL, the French international has taken on another dimension in front of goal this season. With his 10 goals scored in 11 Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches, he's equaled Kylian Mbappé’s best start in the top flight (2023/24 and 2018/19) and is doing as well as another legend from the Parisian club, Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2012/13).
In the 21st century, only three players have managed to make a more prolific start in the first 11 matches. The record holder is to be found on the Principality’s side. At the start of the 2017/18 season, Colombian Radamel Falcao was unstoppable with AS Monaco, scoring 13 goals. The same season, Edinson Cavani was not far from “El Tigre” with his 11 goals. The third man in this trio had made a huge start to the season ten years earlier. Then in the colors of OL, Karim Benzema also scored 11 goals in the first 11 rounds of Ligue 1 McDonald's.
Bradley Barcola has therefore made a first-class start in the QSI era, only surpassed by Cavani's record and on a par with other top players like Kylian Mbappé and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Ligue 1 McDonald's in recent years.
