International Break (UEFA): What's coming up for our Ligue 1 internationals?

Belgium: Malick Fofana leaves squad after call-up

The Belgian Red Devils will face Italy on Matchday 5 and Israel on Matchday 6, and they have a long shot at advancing to the knockout stage. Belgium, currently third in the group with four points, will need to win their final two matches and hope that France (nine points), Italy (10 points), or both stumble to open the door to advance.

Originally, Olympique Lyonnais' Malick Fofana was called up to this Belgium group, but on Monday, he left the squad due to injury.

France: Ligue 1 talents expected to help top the group

Les Bleus are counting on several talents from France's top flight, beginning at the goalkeeper position as Lucas Chevalier (LOSC Lille) and Brice Samba (RC Lens) are there to provide competition for Mike Maignan.

On defense, Jonathan Clauss (OGC Nice) is the sole Ligue 1 representative, while Adrien Rabiot (Olympique de Marseille) and Warren Zaïre-Emery (Paris Saint-Germain) are present in France's midfield.

Didier Deschamps is counting on PSG's Bradley Barcola and Randal Kolo Muani in the attack. Ousmane Dembélé was initially called up but left the group due to a right hamstring injury. France need to win their final two matches against Israel and Italy to top League A Group 2.

Italy: Gianluigi Donnarumma looks to help the Azzurri top Group 2

The Italians also control their destiny in terms of topping the group as two wins over Belgium and France will allow them to finish in first place. PSG's goalkeeper must be up to the task as Italy faces two opponents with talented players in the attack.

England: Angel Gomes attempts to give Three Lions a boost

Although they're in second place in League B Group 2, England controls their destiny and the LOSC Lille standout will be part of the squad looking to top the group. The Three Lions must win their final two matches to overtake Greece, who are currently in first place.

Slovakia: Milan Škriniar looks to lead the squad to top the group

The Falcons are neck and neck with Sweden in League C Group 1 to see who will finish first in the group. Slovakia will need to defeat the Swedes on Thursday to put themselves in the driver's seat and control their destiny heading into the final matchday.

Spain: Fabián Ruiz aims to help La Roja continue top form

The PSG midfielder and the rest of the Spanish national team are topping League A Group 4 and control their destiny as two wins will see them finish first in the group.

Georgia: Zuriko Davitashvili will provide a boost

The Saint-Étienne standout will aim to be a difference maker for Georgia, who are in a three-way battle to advance as Czechia (seven points), Georgia (six points), and Albania (six points) all have the possibility to top the group if the results go their way.
