Recap: Barcola, Lee's Brace Fuel PSG's Win Over Angers

Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 4-2 victory over Angers SCO on Saturday night at Stade Raymond Kopa with Kang-in Lee and Bradley Barcola delivering the standout performances.

PSG recorded 12 total shots in the first 45 minutes while the Angers only had five and that tally from the visitors was enough to jump out to a sizeable advantage.

Lee scored twice in rapid fashion to give PSG a 2-0 lead over Angers SCO with his first goal coming in the 17th minute and the second just three minutes later in the 20th minute.

Barcola's first half brace wasn't scored in a three-minute span, but it was still impressive. The Frenchman netted his first goal in the 31st minute, finishing off a superb pass from Marco Asensio.

Then, just before halftime, the 22-year-old struck again with a header from the South Korean's assist. PSG went into halftime holding a 4-0 advantage with Barcola and Lee proving to be a handful for the home side.

Angers did show fight toward the end of the matchup scoring two goals in the second half stoppage time thanks to strikes from Esteban Lepaul and Emmanuel Biumla, but it was too little too late as Luis Enrique and his team secured the win.

While the Parisians are happy with the three points and the first half performance, Barcola noted to DAZN that the squad took its foot off the gas, which led to two late goals from Angers in the final 45 minutes.

"We played well in the first half, scoring four goals, which was great. In the second half, though, I feel like we let it slip a bit. But overall, it was a good match."

The Stat: Kang-in Lee Joins Exclusive Group

Lee's brace put him in exclusive company as the PSG standout became the fourth South Korean player to score a brace in Ligue 1, following in the footsteps of Chu-young Park, Hyun-jun Suk, and Ui-jo Hwang.
