Franck Haise's OGC Nice were frustrated during their away trip to Hungary, where they fell to a 1-0 defeat

OGC Nice fell to a frustrating defeat against Hungarian side Ferencvaros in their third Europa League outing of the season. Still winless in Europe this season, Les Aiglons went down to 10-men following Pablo Rosario's sending off, following Moïs Bombito's own goal early on in the encounter.

An injury-hit Nice side lacked intensity in the first period, as Marcin Bulka had to be on hand on several occasions to save Les Aiglons in the first half. They would go behind as early as the 15th minute, when Bombito deflected the ball into the back of his own net following a free-kick whipped in by Rommens, Bulka helpless to save the ball.

Ferencvaros began to dominate the ball and the proceedings at home, as the first half became one to forget for Les Niçois. Marcin Bulka had to save from Abu Fani's superbly-placed strike just before the half-time whistle.

Haise tried to change up his side in the second half, as yet another injury would see Diop replaced by Jeremie Boga. Guessand would shortly create a chance to go level as he dribbled past the Hungarian defence but his eventual strike was smartly blocked. Jeremie Boga got a shot off but once again it wasn't enough for the visitors.

Things would go from bad to worse later in the second half, with Pablo Roasario being shown a red card in the 85th minute after a challenge on Saldanha who was bearing down on goal.

"If I wasn't worried about that I wouldn't be aware. We weren't there in terms of the determination and it showed in the result," Franck Haise said following the game. Les Aiglons are yet to get their first win in the Europa League this season as they sit 32nd in the table before the end of play.
