Our Ligue 1 players were involved in another busy weekend of international football as the Nations League continued

Finland 1-3 England

Lille midfielder Angel Gomes was once again involved in international action with the Three Lions, and managed to record his first assist for his nation as England ran out as 3-1 winners over Finland in the Nations League. Gomes needled a ball through for Jack Grealish to open the scoring for the Euro 2024 finalists, as further goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice sealed the win.

Spain 1-0 Denmark

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruíz was once again involved for the Euro 2024 Champions as Spain edged out Denmark in the Nations League Group D on Saturday. The Rouge and Bleu man played the full 90 minutes as Martín Zubimendi's strike proved decisive for La Roja.

Poland 1-3 Portugal

Przemysław Frankowski (RC Lens) and Nuno Mendes (PSG) featured in Poland and Portugal's Nations League encounter which saw the away side come away with three points after goals from Bernardo Silva (26') and Cristiano Ronaldo (37') and an own goal from Jan Bednarek (88').

Slovakia 2-2 Sweden

Fellow Parisian Milan Skriniar played the full 90 as Sweden and Slovakia played to a 2-2 draw. The away side, who had Strasbourg man Sébastian Nanasi sitting on the bench, raced to a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Yasin Ayari and Ken Sema. David Strelec's second-half brace would earn the draw for the Slovakians.

Serbia 2-0 Switzerland

AS Monaco forward Breel Embolo featured along with Edmilson Fernandes (Brest), Ulisses Garcia (Marseille) for Switzerland in a defeat to Serbia in Nations League group B. Vincent Seirro (Toulouse), Yvon Mvogo (Lorient) and Phillip Köhn (Monaco) were also named on the bench for the Swiss side.
