International recap: Slovakia, Wales secure draws and more!

The international matches from this FIFA international continued on Friday night as several Ligue 1 players were representing their countries. Did you miss any of the action? Here's a recap:

Iceland 2-2 Wales

FC Nantes' Sorba Thomas played 76 minutes in Wales' draw against Iceland at Laugardalsvöllur. The visitors took a 2-0 courtesy of first half goals from Brennan Johnson and Harry Wilson, but the home side pulled off a comeback. Iceland scored in the 69th minute thanks to a goal from Logi Tómasson and then a Wales own-goal to level the scoring 2-2, which is how the contest ended.

Ukraine 1-0 Georgia

The Georgians lost a tightly contested matchup at Stadion Poznań, with the game's lone goal coming from Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk in the 35th minute. Georgia counted on Olympique Lyonnais' Georges Mikautadze, who started the match and played all 90 minutes. Saint-Étienne's Zuriko Davitashvili came off the bench to play 19 minutes.

Slovakia 2-2 Sweden

Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar captained Slovakia, playing the full 90 minutes in the draw at Stadion Tehelne Pole. The home side faced a challenging situation after Sweden scored two first half goals in a span of seven minutes to take a 2-0 advantage.

Slovakia responded with a goal right before halftime to cut the deficit in half. David Strelec completed his brace in the second half, scoring in the 72nd minute to level the scoring at 2-2, and that's how the matchup would end.

Germany 2-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina

Former AS Monaco goalkeeper Alexander Nübel played 90 minutes in the victory at Bilino Polje Stadium. The visitors scored two first half goals thanks to a brace from Deniz Undav and the home side cut the deficit in half with a goal from Edin Džeko, but the comeback fell short.

Netherlands 1-1 Hungary

PSG's Xavi Simons, who is currently on loan to RB Leipzig, played 81 minutes in the draw at Ferenc Puskás Stadium. Roland Sallai opened the scoring for the home side, but the Netherlands would level the scoring late in the second half as the score ended 1-1.

France U21 3-0 Cyprus U21

The French side saw two former PSG attackers score in this contest: Hugo Ekitike and Tanguy Nianzou. AS Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche provided the other goal as the squad secured an impressive win. Along with Akliouche, FC Nantes' Johann Lepenant, RC Strasbourg's Ismaël Doukouré, and Toulouse FC's Guillaume Restes were the other players in the starting 11 that currently play in Ligue 1.
