Coupe de France: Le Mans-PSG and more
ESTAC Troyes-Stade Brestois, 7 PM
Brest will kick off the day's action with a trip to eastern France to face Troyes. Having barely avoided a second successive relegation last season, the former top-flight side have struggled for goals this season, having netted just 22 times in 21 Ligue 2 matches, but are equally defensively sound, having conceded just 23 times. While many of the players who had been with the club in their last stint in the top flight are elsewhere on loan, the hosts remain dangerous, having knocked out Stade Rennais in the Round of 64.
LOSC Lille-Dunkerque, 7 PM
New signing Chuba Akpom is expected to be available for this match, but Jonathan David is likely to start at centre forward as Lille hope to get past an upstart Dunkerque side who are currently fourth in Ligue 2, just two points behind Metz in the promotion playoff spot. Young Stade de Reims loanee Ewen Jaouen has been a star in goal after nearly helping Rodez win promotion last season, and with former Ligue 1 players like Yacine Bammou and Gaëtan Courtet in the fold, Lille will have to be way not to be another Ligue 1 scalp, Les Maritimes having knocked out Auxerre in the Round of 64.
Le Mans-Paris Saint-Germain, 9 PM
The final match of the day sees Le Mans, currently playing in the third-tier National, host Paris Saint-Germain. The former club of Gervinho, Grafite, Romaric and Stéphane Sessgnon has struggled since being relegated from Ligue 2 five years ago, but are within striking distance of the top. As for PSG, Warren Zaïre-Emery is Luis Enrique's only absence, but he is expected to rotate heavily, with the likes of Arnau Tenas and Yoram Zague likely to line up at the back.
