The draw for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League occurred on Wednesday and there are some exciting matchups for the four Ligue 1 clubs participating in the 2024-25 edition. Here's a rundown of who Paris Saint-Germain, LOSC Lille, Stade Brestois, and AS Monaco will face:
Monaco
Let's start with the team that finished second in Ligue 1 last season as Monaco will have a fascinating set of opponents that they will travel on the road to face and welcome to Stade Louis II.
Les Rouge et Blanc will face Inter Milan, Arsenal, GNK Dinamo Zagreb, and Bologna FC 1909 for the road matchups. In this league phase, the Ligue 1 side will travel twice to Italy and also head to London and Croatia.
As for who they'll be hosting, FC Barcelona, SL Benfica, FK Crvena Zvezda, and Aston Villa will be traveling to Stade Louis II. The visitors will be from different countries, but the highlight will be hosting the Spanish as it's the first time they're facing each other since the 1993-94 season.
Brest
Les Pirates are another Ligue 1 team facing off against a Spanish club, but they'll be tasked with facing Barcelona and Real Madrid. Ăric Roy and his team will travel to face Barcelona, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Red Bull Salzburg, and AC Sparta Praha.
Brest will welcome Kylian Mbappé back to France when they host the reigning Champions League winners. Their other home opponents are reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen, PSV Eindhoven, and SK Sturm Graz.
Lille
It will be a Mbappé reunion when Les Dogues face Real Madrid as one of their opponents in the league phase. The two brothers, Ethan and Kylian, were teammates last season with PSG, but now they'll be rivals. After going through the qualifying rounds, Lille have intriguing matchups for this edition of the Champions League.
Regarding their home matches, Lille will face Real Madrid, Juventus, Feyenoord, and Sturm Graz. As for their away opponents, Bruno Génésio and his team will travel to matchup against Liverpool, Atlético de Madrid, Sporting CP, and Bologna.
PSG
Finally, the reigning Ligue 1 champions will see a familiar face on the road. Mikel Arteta, who played for the Parisians during the 2001-02 season, will face his former club as Luis Enrique and his team will travel to London for a contest with Arsenal.
The capital club's other away games in the Champions League are against Bayern Munich, RB Salzburg, and Stuttgart. For the home matches, PSG will welcome Manchester City, Atlético de Madrid, PSV, and Girona to the Parc des Princes.
