The star of the recently-released Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown,  Timothée Chalamet has become one of the world's most famous and successful actors, but he's also increasingly become know for spreading the gospel of Ligue 1 McDonald's. While his passion for Sainté is a lifelong one, Chalamet's love for the club first became apparent to American audiences in 2019. In that year, he appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers wearing the club's jersey. Promoting the film The King Chalamet was still an up-and-coming actor at the time, with "Call Me By Your Name" in 2017 having introduced his talents to the world.

In 2024, his passion was again on show as the actor, along with the cast of the then-new Dune 2, appeared on French television. Presented with a scarf of the team, he led the crowd in song to the shock and amusement of his fellow actors, underscoring his affinity for the club, and was recently in the news again for sharing an anecdote that underscored the depths of his fandom.

Nearly 30, Chalamet, whose love for the team was also helped by spending summers with his grandparents in the region, just 60 kilometers from their stadium, also related how, as a youngster, he idolised a side that included Dimitri Payet and Bafétimbi Gomis, Seeing the team bus go by, Chalamet, who was on his bike, followed it up a hill to the team's hotel, hoping to catch a glimpse of his favorite side.

More recently, in Rome, Chalamet was also seen wearing a Sainté scarf in Rome for the Italian premiere of A Complete Unknown. A true fan, this latest chain of events only serves to illustrate the profound nature of his love for the team, as had also previously mentioned his love for longtime goalkeeper J´´érémie Janot, who the actor described as an "idol" and is one of the club's cult heroes.
