Jean-Louis Gasset returns to Ligue 1 as interim manager of Olympique de Marseille until the end of the season, returning to Ligue 1 Uber Eats after spells at Paris Saint-Germain, AS Saint-Etienne, Montpellier HSC and Bordeaux.

Olympique de Marseille have today announced the appointment of Jean-Louis Gasset as coach for the rest of the 2023/2024 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season.

On Tuesday afternoon the club announced the arrival of Jean-Louis Gasset to succeed Gennaro Gattuso at the helm of the professional team. Having served as assistant or head coach at Girondins de Bordeaux, AS Saint-Etienne, Montpellier Hérault SC and Paris Saint-Germain, the 70-year-old will be tasked with revitalising a Olympien side that has stagnated in the last several weeks.

"It's a huge honour for me to be joining this legendary club, Olympique de Marseille," Gasset told OM's official website on joining the club."I can't wait to start working with this group to prepare for the upcoming fixtures and give the best of ourselves."
